- AHA Young Hearts Clinical Guidelines and Statements in Action: Translating New Evidence Into Practice
Kiona Allen, MD, Amanda Perak, MD

The AHA/ASA 2026 Acute Ischemic Stroke Guidelines: Highlights Relevant for Cardiovascular Groups
Kori Zachrison, MD
4:45-6 p.m. | Friday, Nov. 6 | N230B
Since the prior publication of AHA/ASA guidelines for acute ischemic stroke management over five years ago, major research progress has taken place in acute stroke care. Interventions such as mechanical thrombectomy have been refined by results of major clinical trials while other medical treatments have also been modified. Acute stroke treatment reflects a stage in stroke care where cardiology and vascular neurology frequently overlap, exemplifying the intersection of cardiac and brain health at a most impactful time.
- Rethinking Coronary Revascularization: Less Invasive and More Strategic
Jennifer Lawton, MD, Sunil Rao, MD
4:45-6 p.m. | Friday, Nov. 6 | S105D
Coronary revascularization decisions are evolving beyond anatomy alone. This session reframes CABG and PCI through physiology, less invasive and hybrid approaches and patient-centered outcomes.
