Symposium title:
Getting to the Heart of the Matter: Gene Therapy for Cardiac Diseases
Symposium description:
Genetic cardiac diseases are common, but often underrecognized causes of potentially devastating outcomes.
Opportunities exist to improve upon current treatments by directly targeting the genetic cause. Advancements in genetic medicine and delivery technologies have paved a path for cardiac gene therapy to get to the heart of the matter. Lexeo’s clinical-stage gene therapy programs aim to address Friedreich ataxia (FA) cardiomyopathy and PKP2 (plakophilin 2)-arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy (ACM).
Join speakers Victoria Parikh, MD (Assistant Professor of Medicine and Director, Stanford Center for Inherited Cardiovascular Disease) and Eric Adler, MD (Chief Medical Officer and Head of Research, Lexeo Therapeutics; Professor of Medicine, UCSD) on Sunday, November 17 at 3:15 pm at the Heart Hub, Heart Theater I to learn more!
This event is not part of the official Scientific Sessions Conference 2024 as planned by the American Heart Association Committee on Scientific Sessions Programming.
