Symposia and Early Career programming kick off Day 1
Focused educational sessions provide a great warm up to three more days of #ScientificSessions26.
On Friday, Nov. 6, find subject-specific symposia to kick off Scientific Sessions. They include:
- New in 2026 | Innovation Forum: This one-day, high-energy experience is geared to help clinicians, scientists and innovators turn ideas into impact. Through candid conversations with founders, investors and industry leaders, participants will explore the real-world path from discovery to startup across cardiovascular and brain health. Innovation Forum registration is required in addition to our American Heart Association Scientific Sessions registration.
- New in 2026 | Global Impact sessions will investigate how innovative research and global quality initiatives are generating new insights in cardiovascular disease, reveal the power of artificial intelligence across diverse healthcare settings and how to improve outcomes with innovations in women’s cardiovascular care.
- Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM) sessions dedicated to the latest therapies, cool new gadgets and interventions, oral abstracts and more.
- Early Career programming revealing how to navigate your early efforts to fellow and mid-career, mentorship, developing your career for a multidisciplinary future and more.
- Cardiovascular-Kidney-Metabolic (CKM) Symposium
This half-day program provides clinicians with practical, guideline-informed strategies for the prevention and management of cardiovascular-kidney-metabolic (CKM) syndrome following the release of the first AHA/ACC clinical practice guideline. Through targeted lectures and interactive case-based sessions, participants will learn to apply CKM staging, risk assessment and coordinated care principles in real-world practice. - BCVS Symposium will investigate engineering strategies for cardiac repair, showcase breakthroughs achieved by RNA biologists, targeted approaches focused on cell cycle regulators, transcriptional regulators, small molecules and human cell populations and bioengineering the gap from basic biology to cardiovascular therapy.
- Genomic and Precision Medicine Symposium: Three afternoon sessions will investigate the foundations of cardiovascular gene therapy, challenges and solutions and the road ahead.
